The project should be carried out without adverse events or injuries contributing to personnel and the environment and without the emission of harmful substances to the environment.
Field work will be carried out according to UNIS safety requirements and standards. Participants in field work led by UNIS shall participate in UNIS mandatory safety training. UNIS is responsible, among other things, to make sure that the fieldwork/excursion preparations and implementations follow instructions and guidelines given in the area of interest (e.g. Svalbard, East Greenland). In addition, participants from industry in the field are responsible for following their own company rules (e.g. permission to carry gun, have helicopter lift with one engine or one pilot).
